Steven Kent

Co-Founder and Executive Director

Steven Kent is the Executive Director of Insight Recovery Treatment Center, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to supporting individuals in recovery. As the founder and operator of a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals with substance use disorders, Steven has devoted his career to transforming lives and creating hope for those in need.

In addition to his role at Insight Recovery, Steven is the director and owner of sober living recovery homes, where he fosters safe and supportive environments for individuals rebuilding their lives. He actively collaborates with local communities and recovery organizations, expanding resources and support systems. Known for his compassionate leadership, Steven combines personal experience with professional expertise, inspiring those around him to find their path to healing and stability.

Richard Trainor, LMHC

Co-Founder and Clinical Director

Richard Trainor is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over eight years of experience treating behavioral and substance use disorders. He specializes in co-occurring disorders and has worked with clients of all ages across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Rich has held supervisory roles at multiple organizations and has contributed to the success of residential and 12-step programs.

Currently, Richard serves as the Clinical Director at Insight Recovery Treatment Center. His background as a clinical supervisor in outpatient substance abuse treatment, combined with his own personal recovery journey, informs his compassionate and understanding approach. Rich’s leadership empowers clients and staff alike to achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Justin Coffey

Program Director

Justin Coffey serves as the Program Director at Insight Recovery Treatment Center. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Sacred Heart University and brings extensive experience across various levels of care. Justin has worked as a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) and has contributed to Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Evening Intensive Outpatient Programs (EVIOP), and Acute Treatment Services (ATS). His roles have also included Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS) and Continuing Care Coordinator.

Currently pursuing his LADC II license, Justin is a licensed drug and alcohol counselor. In his role as Program Director, he focuses on enhancing client care, continuously striving to improve the quality of services provided. His passion for the field of substance abuse is evident in his compassionate approach, supporting clients with dedication and empathy.

Amy McBrine

Primary Therapist

Amy brings a diverse skill set and extensive experience to her role at Insight Recovery Treatment Center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC II), providing her with a strong foundation in addiction counseling. Additionally, Amy is a licensed art therapy practitioner, Reiki Level 1 certified, and has completed a 200-hour yoga certification, demonstrating her commitment to a holistic approach to healing and well-being.

Amy has been working in the field of substance use since 2009, with over four years of dedicated experience in supporting individuals with substance use disorders. By integrating traditional counseling techniques with art therapy, energy healing, and yoga practices, Amy offers a unique, comprehensive approach that supports clients on their path to recovery and healing.

Jon Baer

Jon Baer is a dedicated advocate and mentor in the recovery community, with over 13 years of personal experience in sobriety. Through the 12-step program, Jon found a path to sustained recovery and has since become a passionate supporter for others on similar journeys. His commitment extends beyond his own sobriety; he actively collaborates with local recovery organizations and community initiatives to support individuals struggling with addiction. Known for his empathy and dedication, Jon plays a vital role in guiding, mentoring, and inspiring those seeking to rebuild their lives and find strength in recovery.

As the Director of Community Engagement at Insight Recovery Treatment Center, Greg is a passionate advocate for helping others find recovery and build a brighter future. With many years of experience in the recovery field, Greg combines a background in nonprofit leadership with a personal passion for empowering others to navigate their recovery journeys. He leads efforts that create lasting partnerships with many different programs designed to engage individuals in recovery and their families. Throughout his career, Greg has worked closely with hospitals, community-based organizations, local police departments, and recovery/behavioral health programs to create strong community-based solutions that promote wellness, recovery, and social inclusion. His leadership in building relationships and fostering collaboration has made a meaningful impact in both the lives of individuals and the broader community.

Greg is dedicated to bringing support for those in recovery by developing impactful relationships that ensure access to resources, support networks, and opportunities for healing. Outside of work, Greg’s personal commitment to his own recovery through the 12-Step program of Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is a cornerstone of his life. He is also deeply passionate about working with individuals returning from incarceration, helping them reintegrate, navigate their way back into society and find stability, and recover from incarceration. Greg is involved in a vibrant community of men and women in recovery who ride Harley Davidsons together, going on several trips throughout the riding season, fostering camaraderie, support, and a shared commitment to living clean and healthy lives and experiencing freedom on two wheels.

Erin is a Clinical Case Manager at Insight Recovery Treatment Center, bringing a unique blend of personal experience and professional expertise to her role. After transitioning from a successful career as a chef and union representative, Erin found her true calling in the recovery field. As a recovering alcoholic and addict, she draws from her own journey of sobriety through the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and holistic therapy to help others find peace and balance. Her background in leadership and advocacy, combined with a compassionate, client-centered approach, allows Erin to effectively guide individuals through their recovery process.

Outside of work, Erin is passionate about personal growth, creating art, traveling, and making people laugh. She enjoys spending time in the kitchen, exploring new places, and sharing her experiences with others. When not focused on her clients, Erin is often at home enduring the humorous antics of her demanding cat, Mr. B. Her dedication to helping others, combined with her positive, empathetic approach, makes her a valued member of the Insight Recovery team.
